Human kind is a weird species
Year and a half has passed since my last post in this blog and there are a few reasons for it.
First there was the pandemic. It affected all of us in some way. From my side, belonging to a group of risk, I had to stay locked at home for several months. So, no work, no social connections, basically life paused.
On top of that, a year and a half go. I partially lost my vision. Unfortunately it´s an incurable issue, so I´m getting used to it little by little.
With a current global vision of around 15-20%, I had to readapt most of my habits, including trying to keep this blog alive.
With this in mind, I’ll proceed with some changes, including the format of the blog, its content and the way it will be updated, however less frequently.
These changes can be done in terms of the own design of the blog (larger letters, for example), but mainly the content. I’ll often go into tips for the daily life of visually impaired people (VIP), how tech can help us, but also using more the voice. For now, the creation of a podcast is not excluded, depending also on the feedback I’ll receive from you. Music will keep being one main item to consider, and will switch to audiobooks, instead of books (or ebooks) curation. More podcasts and less articles, more YouTube channels and less conventional sites. Without forgetting photography, which, thank god, I can still do, both taking pictures and editing them. With more difficulty and less precision, but still doing it as much as possible.
Challenge is launched, not only for me, but also for you, as I’ll be waiting for your feedback and ideas.
And last but not least, I want to start by sharing the YouTube channel that has been helping and inspiring the most me for the last year: The Blind Life.
